Claim vs Hunt: the two opportunity modes
Claim gives one hunter the job exclusively. Hunt lets anyone try, and the first valid completion wins.
Every opportunity uses one of two modes. Neither involves bidding: the reward is fixed by the poster.
Claim
The first verified hunter to claim the opportunity gets it exclusively. Nobody else can work on it while it's claimed.
- The hunter must start within 30 minutes of claiming, or the opportunity reopens for others.
- Good for: tasks where you want one person committed, like a pickup, an errand, or a specific online job.
Hunt
Anyone can pursue the opportunity at the same time. The first valid completion with proof wins the reward.
- A hunter who has the item can lock the hunt for 24 hours by sending photo proof that they have it. That stops someone else from beating them while they deliver.
- Good for: finding something rare, like a sold-out item, a specific part, or a hard-to-find piece of information.
Which should I pick?
If the work is straightforward and you just need someone reliable, use Claim. If the hard part is finding something and speed matters, use Hunt.
